Song of the Week and why I love Indie Music

I thought that it might be a fun thing to tell you all what song I have been obsessed with the most over the week. This one is one that I've discovered very recently (as in like a couple days ago) but it's already one of my favorite songs I think I have ever heard.

Are you ready for it?

If you thought I was going to mention Taylor Swift, you'd be wrong.

The song of the week is Ocean Eyes by Billie Eilish!!!

This song has a great sound to it, and the lyrics are just beautiful. This song reminds me of something I would hear from Birdy and reminds me of why I love Indie music so much. One of the reasons being that a lot of the time the quality is a hundred times better than what I hear on the radio. Now don't get me wrong, I listen to mainstream songs now and I probably always will, but there's a reason a lot of my favorite songs are from indie artists. There's just something so powerful about lyrics that make you feel something and can move you, and indie songs like "Ocean Eyes" do that for me. For one the lyrics are oftentimes very deep and meaningful, something that we don't always see from popular music nowadays, or should I say something that we don't always hear?

What song has been on repeat for you? Tell me in the comments section.

Pride and Prejudice Vs. Emma

As some of you may know from my Five Favorite Classic Novels post: Emma and Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen are two of my favorite classic novels so it only felt fitting to compare them to each other for the first post for Jane Austen Month.  I just want to make it clear that I love both of these novels and that they both have things that I enjoy about them.

1. Female Leads:
In my opinion, Jane Austen has created some of the best literary characters of all time. The main characters that she creates are no exception to this rule.
In Pride and Prejudice, it is Elizabeth Bennet. Witty, opinionated, and basically who every Austen fan strives to be like.

https://media.giphy.com/media/jDuKjA45JfDnq/giphy.gif  She is loyal to a fault, but she isn't afraid to disagree with someone. She, however, judges people before she even really knows them (Guilty!!!). She has incredible character development though, and she isn't afraid to admit that she is wrong when…

114 Thoughts I Had While Watching the Royal Wedding

So, I got done watching the live stream for the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle! I decided to post my thoughts here for you all to see. From the hats to the adorable royal kids to just the overall happy vibes at this wedding, this wedding was a joy to watch. I hope you all enjoy my 114 Thoughts I Had While Watching the Royal Wedding. Fair warning though, some of them might not make any sense, and please forgive any bad spelling, grammar, or punctuation as I was just typing these on my phone as I went. Thank you all again for reading!
My Thoughts So many hats!!!A lot of celebs Everyone looks, or most people anyway, very happy. This music is lit. I’m digging it. Alright. These people look less happy. I wonder if something is wrong. You conduct that band!I love the random outside shot with the birds for some reason. That car is moving very slowly. Is there a speed limit at royal weddings? And we’re back in the church. And back outside Who are these people?Aww both ladies are…

Ever, Jane Game Review

The front of Hatch's when you first enter the game.
So, I've been playing the game Ever, Jane for a while now, and I am just going to admit, right here and now that I am totally in love with it. The entire concept is just magical to me, and while there are some issues that need to be worked out (the game is still in open beta) the overall idea and concept of the game is wonderful. For those of you that have been following my blog, you know that I did a Jane Austen Month back last September, so I don't really think it was a surprise that I got into this game at all.
So, what is Ever, Jane?
Ever, Jane is an MMO game based on the world and works of Jane Austen. Set in the Regency in the Town of Tyrehampton your character is dropped off (in the game it's by either an aunt or uncle, but most people just make up their own background stories for their characters. More on that down below). Suddenly you are in charge of your own life in a brand new town that you know nothing abo…
